DCS will receive and exchange students with Aventinus-Gymnasium School in Germany starting this fall

Dexter Community Schools recently finalized a sister school agreement with Aventinus-Gymnasium School in Burghausen, Bavaria, Germany.
This will be Dexter’s second international sister school; a partnership also exists with Northeast Yucai (NYO) in Shenyang, China.
From October 27th until November 3rd, a group of 9th grade students from Aventinus-Gymnasium will be in Dexter to visit, tour the high school, and learn more about American schools by pairing up with 9th and 10th graders from Dexter.
Later in the year, Dexter underclassmen will also be offered the opportunity to travel to Germany for several days and stay with their German counterparts. This partnership will expand travel and learning experiences for Dexter students and further the international exchange of knowledge between young people.
