Welcome to the Jungle.
Dexter is having their first playoff appearance in school history this Friday, October 26, against undefeated South Lyon at South Lyon High School’s field, known as “The Jungle”.
The Dreadnaughts are 6-3 and are ranked third in the SEC White division.
Because of South Lyon’s record and their home field advantage, they are a favorite to advance in the playoffs. But Dexter is used to being the underdog.
“Obviously we know they’re a good team, seeing that they’re 9-0, but in the games we’ve lost we felt that we competed through the whole game and we feel like we have the capability to beat South Lyon we just have to execute through all four quarters,” said Senior Khalid Dimo.
After being projected to only win one game this season, the Dreads shocked everyone, recording their first winning record since going 5-4 in 2010.
Statistically, the Dreadnaughts are more likely to win this away game because they won 75% (3-1) of their road games and 60% (3-2) of games at home.
