The Dexter boys basketball team beat the Pinckney Pirates 67-49 on Friday, improving the Dreads record to 12-5 while the Pirates fell to 5-14.
This game was important for the Dreads as it was a sign of things to come; the Dreadnaughts will be playing the Pirates in the first round of the district playoffs next week. The Dreadnaughts controlled every aspect of the game thanks to the outstanding rebounding and 3-point shooting by senior center Brady Rosen.
“It’s a good sign for the playoffs, we’re hoping for the same outcome in two weeks,” sophomore guard Marco Lucchesi said.
Dexter will look to rake up the Adrian maples tonight. The game is a makeup from February 9 when the contest was canceled due to a snow day.
